so far so good. have it on my tunnel hull with a merc 225 3 liter. speeds over 70 mph still felt very solid

Installed unit (tightened lines to fittings) and out on the water oil started leaking because the lock nuts on fittings were loose. Check them when installing.

I was pleasantly surprised when I recently Ordered a Hydraulic Boat Power Steering Kit, because it Shipped quickly from China, and arrived safely at my House in Wisconsin a few days later, and it was packaged well, and everything was in the Package, and everything was in Good Working Order. And, I am a very Good, Experienced Aerospace Designer, and this Product was Designed well, and the Machining, and Attention to Detail was excellent, and this Kit was about half the price of it's American equivalent, which is refreshing with todays Inflation. I Installed this kit myself in about 4 hours, and I have had my Boat in the water many times since the Installation, and everything works well, and it is a pleasure to not have to fight the old Steering Unit, this new Hydraulic Steering System is easy to steer, and it is very precise, and effective. I have already recommended this Product to other Friends, and Family that would find it useful. Thank you for paying attention to the Details VEVOR. The provided Instructions were adequate, and I referenced a couple of the Competitors Install Videos on-line, to ease the Installation Process.

I did a fair amount of research before purchasing the Vevor Hydraulic Steering system. The quality and craftsmanship for all the components seemed very well made. No issues so far with the entire system although it's had minimal usage so far. Driveway testing, air bleeding, and one trip on the water. As advertised, there are more turns lock to lock, so that's an operator adjustment when maneuvering the boat. The motor turns so much easier now, especially at full throttle. Installation had some challenges. YouTube is your friend for installing it as the written instructions are not very informative. At that, not one youtube really covered it all. I had to use multiple youtubes, and mostly other manufacturers hydraulic steering system installations.

This is the 1st time that I have purchased this product. It was easy to install and is working GREAT so far, In the past I have used SeaStar which cost a lot more, time will tell with this product to see if it will hold up to the harsh saltwater conditions.

I just recieved this hydraulic boat steering kit for my bass boat. Kit is exactly as described. Everything is packaged very well. All components appear to be of good quality. Ive yet to install but given all the positive reviews i trust this set will last very well....and save a thousand dollars on the comparable seastar kit that does not come with hoses....absolute no brainer here...buy it

Would give it a 5 Star but have not used it enough to receive that score. Receive it quickly, company keep me inform of shipping. Quality of produce thus far is comparable to SeaStar Hydraulic Steering. If you have mechanical and technical skills its easy to install, because directions or a little vague. Useed the boat twice now works great compared to its old mechanical steering. Will order other produces from them again.

This arrived sooner than expected. So I hurried up and installed it on our pontoon. It make the day so much better. My old steering was hard to turn made loading on trailer tough sometimes. Install was fairly simple . I would say watching a couple of You Tube videos first did definitely help with the installation. As the instructions can be a little vague. Luckily I am an industrial mechanic so this job was relatively easy. It took me around 3 hrs to install the hardest part was getting the old steering unit out. If it wast for that I would have been finished in a couple hrs. Would definitely recommend. At this price just under 400.00 for a 300hp steering system. You just can't go wrong.I have been around the more expensive systems and this one seems just as good. Thanks Vevor

The hydraulic steering system is a great upgrade from rack and cable steering with no engine feedback. However this is the problem. There are numerous hydraulic steering helm pump capacities ranging from 1.1 cubic inches to 3.0 cubic inches. The higher the pump volume the lower the number of steering wheel turns lock-to-lock. This particular helm provided 7 turns lock-to-lock, which was almost double number of turns of the Teleflex rack and steering cable that was removed, which is not good for my high performance boat setup. I would advise to get 100% confirmation on the steering helm volume from VEVOR before you buy to see if it will work for your boating application. There are charts online that provide the number of turns lock-to-lock based on the helm volume. Otherwise it is a great steering system.
