Fairly easy to build. Once assembled, one issue was that the swing door was bowed outward. So when you rolled the unit, the door hit the frame, preventing it from rolling. I bent the door in by hand and now rolls great.

Reasonable product for the price, but the holes are a bit to narrow, so it lets trough a bit to little

ik kreeg een rechthoekig plat pakket thuisgestuurd dus ik twijfelde of het wel klopte. Bij uitpakken bleek dat ik de strooier zelf nog in elkaar moest zetten. Schroeven werken maar zijn van matige kwaliteit. Na in elkaar zetten bleken er flinke kieren tussen de vier elementen te zitten. Ik heb de strooier gebruikt met tuinaarde en had geen last van de kieren. De aarde wordt mooi verdeeld en het apparaat doet goed zijn werk. Ik had er daardoor deze keer heel veel minder werk aan om de tuinaarde (gelijkmatig) te verdelen over mijn grasveld en het was vooral een ontlasting voor mijn rug. Ik zou het opnieuw kopen. Voordeel van zelf in elkaar zetten is dat ik het na gebruik weer uit elkaar gehaald heb om compact op te kunnen slaan.

Fairly simple to put together, but a bit awkward doing so with one person. Took me about 20 minutes or so. Filled it with soil the first time around and it produced an even spread. Any mulch pieces from the lawn soil remained inside the roller, so I manually tossed those pieces out after the roller was empty. I actually like the fact that junk pieces don’t make it through the screen on the roller—just the product. Second time around I loaded it with peat moss. Beautiful, thin layer of peat was laid out by the roller. The roller doesn’t hold a lot of material, so depending on the area you’re covering, you may be refilling often. This was much easier than dumping product and trying to rake it evenly throughout the area. I would recommend this roller. 4 stars and not 5, because nothing in this world is perfect.

Works well with saw size mulch and very very dry top soil but clogs and bunches up and dirt or soil that is at all damp

I have 1.5 acres and this thing is just too small. It was easier and faster to dump topsoil all over and rake it. The spreader actually works really well spreading evenly. If it were at least twice the size it would probably be worth it. It became about impossible to shut all the way after the first time filling it up. After that it was super hard to close the final pin. Without that closed the spreader would leave a line all over yard. I used one time and sold online for half price.

Fitment wasn’t the best. Dumps soil to fast

Simply garbage. One of the side latches wouldn't fully latch and the center locking holes wouldn't line up no matter what I did to fix it. This spreader needs center support desperately. It literally was used for 1 attempt at rolling and then put to the side for trash pickup. Maybe it's ok for hand pushing but I would never buy one with the purpose of pulling behind an ATV or tractor. Pure unadulterated garbage. A waste of $150. p.s. Vevor's 100 lb capacity spreader is almost as bad.

Overall this does the job. I’ve used it for two small top dressing jobs and will be using it for a larger full yard leveling project soon. The unit is easy to assembly, has a decent fit and finish, but it should have included cotter pins to attached the handle bars instead of the thin clips. Also, the paint on the handle bar post that inserts into the lower arm of the handle bar started to chip after having for less than 60 days and it’s been stored in the garage and never rained on. Lastly, the unit doesn’t have a continuous roll. It’s more like a half roll to each section of the barrel with the flat black track and requires a little extra oomph to make it roll continuously. This is probably a good thing to help prevent the roller from getting away from you when fully loaded. Not a deal breaker for me. It’s still easy to use and maneuver. For the price and ease of use, I would still buy it again! I’ve attached photos of the unit and the work it helped me do.
