Price is right! Build quality looks good! Fits my Pentair whisperflow pool pump. Would be nice if electrical cover in the back was half size like the Pentair motor, so it’s easier to remove the cap when installed. Also, motor is a tad louder with a more whiney sound when compared to the whisperflow. Overall, definitely with the money if it lasts a few years. We will see.

This motor is good but is louder than expected but other than that if noise won't bother then should be a good product

I'm giving this motor 5 stars all round except quality (yet). The only reason for that is I haven't had it running long enough to give it more than an average mark. However it shipped fast, was packed properly and had instructions if you've never changed one before. Most of the grief is cleaning the pump and changing all the seals anyway. This was put on a 10 year old Hayward super pump with no issues. Excellent price when I bought it on sale. If it runs quietly till end of season I'll most likely buy another one as a backup.

Hope the bearings will last. Slightly louder than the original pentair. Also the measurements are slightly different it fits the pentair pump housibg

The price of the pumps, I bought two, was great, about half of an AO Smith, Hayward or Pentair and the wiring connection is up high on the unit which makes it easy to wire up. The motors bolted perfectly to my rebuilt Pentair impeller housings The only downside is the noise from the pumps, its loud. If you're going to replace a worn out motor with one of these make sure its enclosed or a fair distance from your house or neighbors.

Unfortunately the motor came defective Customer service refunded the invoice cost

I can not comment on the motor itself. It did not fit our needs and we could not find it when first delivered. It was delivered to the neighbors. We had to go to Home Depot and get a different motor. We have not used the motor and I can not get anyone to send me a return label. I can not get anyone on the phone and the online chat says they have updated my ticket to request a return label but I still have not received one.

Worst customer service experience I have received. The motor was DOA and they just give you hoops to jump through, Told me that a 48Y will not mate up with a 56Y and that is the reason the motor wont turn on. These standards are completely interchangeable you would think their motor experts would know that. Then wanted me to reset up the motor and take video of it not running. I do not have time to just waste.

Trying to get a hold of Customer Service and have them actually do something as I’m looking impossible. They will email you in the middle of the night and then they will not talk to you again for another 24 hours after you respond. I have a broken pump, pardon a broken motor and I need it replaced. They’re asking me to look at this this this this this and I’ve already given them a video showing exactly what they need. I think they just want to get frustrated and go away.

Quiet operation, easy installation, ran great for 1 1/2 years but then locked up. Verified no leaky seals from the pump itself, the motor just flipped the breaker and quit. Bought the same one as a replacement mainly due to price and quick delivery but I’m only expecting it to last until just after the warranty expires again.
