Pros: - Fast and precise cutting and engraving - The built-in cooling is perfect as it makes an external chiller unnecessary - Rotary is included - CO2 laser is quiet compared to diode laser - Extractor is very quiet - Very well packaged Why not 5 stars: - Lack of a meaningful manual (the manual only covers settings in RDWorks but there is no meaningful description of functions, maintenance, coolant management, mirror calibration, rotary use, etc.) - The included extractor is fine but the casing of the laser "leaks" on all sides, so a lot of hassle with adhesive strips to limit the smell - The included honeycomb is larger than the working area, making the machine 0.0 somewhere at 20,30 on the grid, which complicates material alignment (perhaps just a bit) - Moreover, the honeycomb itself is of mediocre quality (uneven cells and therefore not flat, and the raised edge is too low to rest the material against) - The included USB cables are too short - No materials library or at least suggestions included (searching the internet for other 55w lasers and a lot of experimenting) - The included RDWorks package is useless for Apple users like me I was already working with LightBurn for a diode laser.. After purchasing the much more expensive Pro license necessary for a CO2 laser, it took some experimenting and importing the standard controller values to get a working installation. Beware: LightBurn designs for diode lasers sometimes need significant adjustments because not all layer info is recognized. In short, a sturdy and beautiful device with many good elements but with worthless documentation and a poor honeycomb.
