When the climbing spikes are removed, the ladder has reached the final battle. Let the correct harness and stabilization fall into the right place. However, one should already be fit in the thighs, otherwise you won't make it up!

Just under 20 years ago, good climbing shoes cost €360 excluding VAT. They were practically the only comfortable models available when you had to work with them regularly. I haven't tried this model for dismantling a tree, but after wearing them on my feet, based on the quality of the Velcro, the straps, and the quality of the foam padding that supports the calf, they are of very high quality. They are adjustable for different shin sizes.

Having tested them thoroughly, I can say that they are solid. They are lightweight, the pad fits well on the leg, and the points have a geometry that provides good grip, even on harder wood. Personally, I am convinced of this. Of course, everyone sharpens them in their own way, based on the feel they are looking for when aiming, but I repeat, they are already good for basic use. If you really want to improve them to give them an extra advantage – and this is a suggestion for the manufacturer – you could screw the points slightly forward (i.e., towards the trunk) or position the stirrup slightly forward, so that the points can dig into the trunk more easily during the climb, as all well-known manufacturers are doing now. In any case, the product is very good for its price and I am satisfied with it.
