De outlet kraan onder op de generator blijfd deze altijd open
De aftapkraan aan de onderkant van de stoommachine moet worden geopend om het water af te tappen nadat het stoombad is voltooid, om kalkvorming te voorkomen en de levensduur te beïnvloeden. De rest van de tijd, wanneer de stoommachine normaal werkt, moet de aftapkraan gesloten zijn.
