Pretty solid little gun safe. I was able to modify the styrafoam to fit a mag inside as well. The mounting plate is very secure but attaching the safe to it by one little screw is not the best. I feel they could improve the design or add another interior screw that mounts into the plate to make it more firm/secure.

This is a nice item at a great price. It keeps the pew secured and out of hands of anyone else but me . 8 use it in the house so that theres no possibility of a child to get a hold of it but easy access if I need it. The only reason for 4 stars is because sometimes the finger print doesn't want to register so I have to punch in the code. Also I had to modify the mount so that it's was sturdy and not wobbly. Insignificant but I prefer something sturdy. Would buy again.

I bought this out of curiosity. I like it. Unless you mount it right at the edge, which would be fairly overt, a bit more clearance is needed if affixing it to beneath a shelf or tabletop. As an expedient fix, you could mount it to a piece of two-by-four screwed into the shelf/table bottom to give it space to function. It has a natural fast draw when mounted at what would normally be your waist height (whether you would be seated or whether you would normally be standing).

The item seems of acceptable quality. But the mounting is loose and unsecure leaving the item to rattle quite a bit when you actually open the safe. All in all though, for the money, I can't complain.

Good product, overall design could be "smaller", not useful for big guns (Desert Eagle).
