I've had this for about a month and have used it to make protein shakes, regular milk shakes, slushies, alcoholic slushies, and just to have some easily dispensed cold drinks. All I can say is, WOW! Very easy to use and very intuitive controls. Their guide for ratios of ingredients helps a lot to get the settings just right. After using the web to find a few different recipes we were making things right away. We thought we'd be waiting hours and hours, but within 30-40 minutes (for alcoholic....regular slushies were faster) we had our drinks. Oh, one thing to remember. If you adjust it because it doesn't taste right and you add too much alcohol or sugar and it doesn't want to freeze, remember that ti has a custom temp setting which drops down REALLY low for those hard to freeze drinks. This sucker makes those Ninjas at Walmart seem downright cheap by comparison. The only things I don't like seem to be easily remedied. First, it's a bit of a pain to clean. You have to lift the back side up to get all of the liquid out (better make sure you have liquid and no slush or it won't go well) otherwise when you pull the container off it will spill out the back. I have tilted it up in the back to help, but it's not foolproof. A moist towel with some suds seems to be the best way to clean the parts that stay on the machine. And next is the food safe lube. There is a silicone piece which mates between the spinning paddle and the cooling chamber in the middle and you put lube on it so it will spin with ease. If you don't do it right it will begin squeaking and eventually screaming at you, ultimately making the dog look at it cross-eyed. The solution? I cleaned everything, let it dry, and then re-assembled. Nope! Go ahead and put it all back together a little, but not all the way. When you're ready to use it again, pull it apart real quick and apply the lube just before you use it. This prevents it from drying slightly and making noise. Also, don't be afraid of it. If a little extra is on there it will push out to the side and you can then take a paper towel to get the excess off the chiller. One final note....This is probably the size you want. The wife and I were able to get three very well sized drinks each from just one side. I feel a bigger one would be too much (unless we were party hosts) and anything smaller wouldn't be enough. We are very pleased!

I originally purchased this item for a party we were having. The thought was to have this for special occasions but it quickly turned into something we use very regularly. With the all the different setting options we found that there is something for everyone, from frappes, slushies for the kids and of course margarita slushies for the adults as we originally intended. If i could give this thing 10 stars i would. I only have 2 regrets about purchasing this item and that is that I didnt purchase it sooner and that I didnt buy the dual tank unit instead!

Makes slushies faster than expected. Only get about 6 16oz cups from each side which didn’t realize. It’s a little smaller than I expected but that’s not the machines doing. Also if you need a larger capacity it doesn’t take long to reslush your drink if you add more liquid as the machine gets low. Overall happy with the machine. Cleaning is a bit cumbersome but not worth not buying the machine over
