Sturdy, the hose carts I have had in the past were plastic and would always fail from just the weight of the hose. Easier to roll around also. It does drip from where it feeds the reel. I think all reels do that.

I love the cart. I would give it 5 stars but it was a pain to put together. Overall I love it. I would recommend better packaging for it since it came in slightly bent.

Great cart - only issue is that the thread on the metal connector on the reel where the hose gets hooked up does not allow the fitting to tighten up enough to press on the washer in the hose connector. I had to pull 3 washers from other connectors to build it up and get it to bite otherwise it leaked really badly. Apart from that - all good.

The price matches the quality, you get what you pay for. It was fairly easy to assemble, if you read the instructions carefully. The unit is very light weight. When you reel in a long hose you have to stand on it to hold it down are you can't reel it in. I bought one last year from Sam's club which was heavier and easier to use, but they no longer carry it, so I tried this one. I will keep it and use it. Tip: do not use a heavy hose. Much better than a plastic hose reel.

It gets the job done, but the design has some flaws. The most concerning one is that part of the water path goes through the iron body. while the fittings are brass, but the iron/steel pipe in the middle may/will get rusty, and may send rust down the hose, or not last. The placement for the support bar is too far high up and not behind the wheels, making it difficult to get it onto the wheels when trying to move it. Additionally, this is too light-weight and if you pull the hose, it will tip over. I had to hold on to it tightly while reeling in the hose, because just the stiffness of the hose when reeling in is enough to topple the entire thing. Still, I have not been able to find anything better at this price, so I'll keep using it for now.

Not a bad hose reel. Fair price. Just be adevised the reel will not hold 250 feet of hose. Maybe 150 feet. The diameter of the hose might have to be smaller diameter than stated. It does work fine just did not hold as much as we wanted.

It would have been rated higher until one of the wheels broke within a year, the metal axle was bend from a minor run in with the cart. It does wind ok, but the rubber handle slid off. Bottom line is, if you need a cheap hose reel and don't plant to move it around, I found it hasn't leaked at the usual connections like other reels do, and that is a big big plus.

The price was right for what my brother and I thought we needed to make watering the plants at my parent's house an easier task when putting the hose away. Installation was not as straight forward as I would like. The instructions for putting this cart together is not very detailed. On the first go around, I forgot to put these two clear plastic washers around the bearing for the handle. Also, it does not tell you exactly where you should mount reel so that the leader hose will be simple to twist on. This took some figuring out as I was putting this cart together. Once the cart was assembled, it work as promised. I will tell you that we have two 100 foot 5/8" hoses attached together. This was the max in my opinion of what this cart will hold. One advice I will give is when you are winding the hose onto the cart, use one hand to guide the hose onto the reel as you turn it with the other hand. Otherwise, it will bunch up at one end.
