I feel like mine might have been slightly banged up in shipping and there was a few times that even though the pressure plate was hit it didn't trigger the release. Idk. I got it for an adult cat and ended up catching 2 before her so it worked. She was a bit too smart and was able to get the bait from behind the plate without setting off the trap so I finally used some string to be able to set it off myself when she went in. Thankfully it work and my baby girl is home. In sort the trap is big enough for most adult cats. It was secure once the animal was caught. Set up was pretty easy with the instructions.

For the price, it works. Managed to capture a feral mother cat for spay and release, and her 4 kittens; not to mention a few skunks and oppossums when the trap was meant capture said cat family. You get what you pay for. It's very basic in construction, and some parts can slightly warp or bend. So make sure you set it up and test it out multiple times before really setting it. Sometimes, you'll have to bend certain parts back into place between trappings of larger animals, as they attempt to try to break out in anxiety and fear. There were a few occasions where the trap didn't go off a few times for the kittens, as some of the mechanisms like the long bar for the trip needed to be readjusted. But overall, it will work.

Used it three times and didn’t catch anything. Probably best for long term in barns or big yards.
