This was bought for one job to get a ram pin off an excavator, particularly difficult removal with this on full load heat and the extractor bolts eventually it broke free! Another team on this excavator with the same difficulty removing well worth just the one job as it saves the excavator from the scrap. Really a good tool with 4 stars on quality due to the poor o'ring on the filler.

Besides the rather fragile powder coating that others have already pointed out (no big deal - it's a tool), I'm out over $200 for a tool that didn't even get used once. See the photo. An inner ring has been cross-threaded and is preventing the piston from retracting. The hydraulic force allowed the ram to extend (once), but I've tried everything to push it back and can't. Of course, I'm past my return date and am now stuck with a faulty tool. It's really disappointing because it would be a decent tool at a great price otherwise. If you buy this, be sure to test it within your return window to be sure it works as designed. [Edit as of 17 Dec 2025]: Vevor came through in a big way and made it right. Prompt hassle-free resolution deserves my edit from 1 star to 4 stars. Customer support is excellent!
