Wow man ! ditch the cable steering unbelievable difference just change it out. The hardest thing was taking out the old cables. I was trying to save them just in case. My opinion is just cut them out tie a string on it so you can pull the hydraulic line through.

unknown ANXIOUS BOATER
20 ft 150 pk
Just had it installed a week ago. Took it on a test float. A far cry from what I had previously - cables and pulleys. Made it out of and into a marina well one-handed! 26 foot pontoon with a 150 Merc.
I'd go 5 stars across the board but I've only tried it out for a couple hours. The boat is leisure and fishing/trolling on a very big lake in Michigan.
This was a quarter of the cost for a SeaStar system! If I get 5 years out of this I will be a very happy consumer!
I'll also add that the marina owner told me how easy it was to replace/install, and the helm replacement was very straight forward. He's hooked too, so I'll be asking him in a month or so how he likes his. He does lots of boat maintenance, and if's he's happy, Vevor will be doing a lot more business.
