A little heavier than expected but does the job and should last my lifetime. With a small adjustment (drilled hole) I have added a "trimer" which has allowed me to reach the highest branches I wanted to remove. The weight, though, does require assistance for this 82 year old to work safely - and successfully.

Amazing saw, managed to prune back a 40ft tall Ash Tree and some thick Oak Tree branches in a matter of hours. The saw is sharp and cuts through pretty much anything and being able to use it as a hand saw as well is a bonus. You do require upper body strength and if you don't have it, you will be sore for the best part of a week due to the weight. My only grind is the blade though tough, it can easily bounce out of the grove making it tricky to slot back in or it gets pinch when the branch starts to fall. I've recommended this to family and friends, who are already eyeing it up.

These are great for pruning tree's. Very versatile and store compactly. I'm a professional arborist and have bought 3 unit's for our company... I replaced the original polesaw head attachment with an arborist grade, lighter unit with a hook. Added a jameson small pole pruner lopper head to one of the poles, and a jameson big mouth head to another pole... makes the unit way more versatile...

Bien Attention de bien serrer la vis de la scie sur le manche pour ne pas voir la scie qui reste dans l'arbre...... Souple à une certaine hauteur mais normal vu la légerété. Fait le job

le produit répond à ma demande : perche télescopique haute avec scie et sécateur (coupe branches). La mention du poids total de l'ensemble à manoeuvrer, monté sur les 8,24 m, doit absolument être indiqué à l'achat car il est finalement très lourd et difficile à utiliser longtemps. Sous réserve d'un usage plus intensif, il semble solide et les fixations entre les éléments de la perche (poteaux) paraissent fiables, excepté pour la poignée d'extrémité basse (voir 3) ci-dessous). Bon courage. Cependant, il y a possibilité de l'améliorer simplement: - 1/ mettre une notice en français - 2/ indiquer sur cette notice la tension maximale possiblement applicable sur la corde du coupe-branches afin d'éviter de plier celui-ci - 3/ fixer solidement la poignée souple d'extrémité basse du 1er élément de la perche: elle tourne et se déboite beaucoup trop facilement. Impossible de s'y fier. - 4/ identifier le 1er et le dernier poteau (par une couleur, ou une marque facilement repérable, parmi les autres éléments intermédiaires de la perche. - 5/ le changement de la longueur n'est pas pratique : pour la réduire ou l'augmenter, il faut dévisser et revisser 3 fois. N'y aurait-il pas moyen de le gérer simplement avec 1 seul vissage ou dévissage par l'extrémité avec une poignée amovible ?

We only have one tree that needs trimming on one side only, so we don't need to use this trimmer often. But it's fine for the price. If we had more trees or was using this every day, I might be more concerned about the quality of the mechanisms. It doesn't look like they will stand up to heavy use.

I like the pole saw for its simplicity and as it isn’t a tool that I need to use constantly being hand powered means it is always ready for use and I like the exercise
