So, one of the most complained about issues with a winch like this, is that they don't pull as hard as advertised .. That's really easy to explain. The info for this winch is quite clear.. 4,500 is the max, when the winch has only a few loops of cable wound around it.. When the spool is full, it's about half of that. That just makes sense.. It's quite simple, it's a representation of mechanical advantage, of the gears, and the diameter of the rope on the spool. When the spool only has a few wraps around it, it turns once to bring in four or five inches of cable.. When it's almost full to capacity, it is twice that for every turn of the spool.. It just makes sense that the pull is less when the spool is near capacity. Also, you can't expect the winch to pull full power, when all you have to power it is a small, "ATV" battery.. It just doesn't have the current to use the winch to full capacity. I use mine with a full sized car battery. It works mint!! Pulling power is all about what is called "cranking amps".. Understand these operating principals of how a winch works, and this one will not disappoint you.. For the price.. You can't beat it.. and the wireless remote isn't something that you usually find at this price point. Buy it and enjoy!!

I added this winch to my 2021 Polaris Ranger 570 with the expectation that I would be using it to pull out windfalls and downed trees from our 2 1/2 acre property. So far this has worked as expected and I am pleased with the purchase. It was a little tricky to install this to my Ranger but with some fastener changes it worked out. The wire harness to connect the switch was too short to put the switch inside the cab for, now it is mounted under the hood. I plan on making some wiring modifications to mount it in a more convenient location near the driver.

Thing works perfect will pick my RZR up off the ground.
