I own a Milwaukee, and—incredibly—this one works much better. The battery lasts an extremely long time and doesn't leave marks on the fittings. This is an excellent tool.

I bought this kit with the mega press jaw kit as well. The first job I used them on paid for them. I’m now thinking of purchasing the compact tool.

Within a couple of test fittings, I felt comfortable using it confidently. This kit includes the 1/2", 3/4", and 1" jaws, which realistically covers most residential plumbing projects. I used it on copper pipe repairs and new line installs, and the connections came out clean and solid. The 24KN hydraulic force and brushless motor make the presses feel strong and consistent, not cheap or underpowered. Another thing I appreciated was the cordless design. Not dragging extension cords around the basement or crawlspace makes a huge difference. The included batteries lasted longer than I expected, and having two batteries in the kit means you can keep working without waiting around for charging. The rotating head also helped a ton in tighter spaces under sinks and near floor joists. For homeowners specifically, this tool is a game changer because it removes a lot of the intimidation factor from plumbing repairs. I bought this and the RLS press jaws that vevor sell. I have only pressed RLS 3/8 copper fittings, and no leaks so far. I had this matched against the Klause RLS 19kn press tool and they look similar and both do the job, the vevor being more versatile and a lot cheaper. The nice thing about the Vevor sl-2430 is the variety of applications it can be used for. I have the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch jaw for black iron to press viega fittings (great for furnace installs etc), the propress jaws and the RLS jaws for refrigeration. I had to buy all 3/4 RLS jaw separately from Rigid. The rigid compact jaw fits this tool. Vevor for some bizarre reason does not make the 3/4 RLS jaw. Don't make the mistakes I made. You get no help from customer service (email only to them, no phone number).
