Highly recommended
This Machine is great, it came earlier than expected the mirrors were already aligned and ready to cut, I have added air assist and replaced the bed and I’m getting great results.

K40
My personal experience with the k40. The machine arrived pretty fast from germany and was quite well packed, the first thing i did was make sure the ground wire had a good connection (this is important!) i had to sand off the paint where the ground wire is attached this is quite common with most/maybe all k40's so be aware of this i did not do a continuity test before this so who knows if it was actually grounded but after sanding i had a good solid connection to ground.mirrors arrived already aligned and my machine was not including that shoddy extractor fan, instead they had installed what appears to be some kind of heavy duty server fan which is quite loud but way safer than the one in the product pictures so don't be put off by this, the seal is much better and its wired straight into the machines power pack.As for the ducting a lot of people seems to moan that its cheap but i think its actually quite good its firm enough to hang out the window and bend the direction of the wind and unlike cheaper alternatives it wont melt by small pieces of ember that may get sucked into the duct and it also packs away quite nice in comparison too if you don't have a permanent fixing, i have however connected another duct to extend its reach as the one included is not all that long. The board i was supplied with is a m2 nano and it supports k40 whisperer working alongside inkscape.Unfortunately i found a small chip that was loose inside the tube, probably damaged in transit so i contacted the supplier and they quickly sent out a replacement i received this in about a week at no extra cost.At the time of my purchase the machine was £389 and so far i have spent an extra £120 on : flow indicator - air assist - temperature probe - extended hose - reservoir - water - calipers - extended duct

Quick delivery and great extractor fan.
Well packaged, quick 5 day delivery coming from Germany. The extractor fan has been modified and professionally fitted at the factory. It's not the cheap extractor fan you see on the youtube videos, though I upgraded the blue extractor tube with a better one. I still have to re-earth the machine which is simple to do (instructions are on youtube). Great buying experience and would deal with the seller again. Thank you.

5 Stars for being as good as you can expect from a K40.
The seller shipped this extremely quick, it arrived in less than a week. I figure because it was in a warehouse in the UK, not coming direct from China (it was actually about 1.5 weeks early, so I didn't have my distilled water yet).I still need to make several upgrades to the machine such as air assist, new bed and better extraction (the extractor it comes with is very poor) but I fired it up today and once I got the large bubble out of the laser tube I gave it a whirl with a test file.Just make sure when you get this you file down the paint around the ground connector on the case (it won't ground to the case otherwise, plenty of youtube guides on these machines).I've ordered a new controller for the laser, so that I can use some better software (the supplied software is terrible). The alternative is to use K40 Whisperer and Inkscape. But once my new controller arrives I'll probably invest in Lightburn as I like the look of the UI and features for designing (you can also control the laser far better with another controller like either a Mini Gerbil or Cohesion board and software). All in all I'm very happy for the price paid. So far everything is as I would expect it.Just to note that the K40 is very much something you buy as a work in progress, to get the best out of it you will need to spend some time and money upgrading it. But with the price being so low, it is a good way to dip your toe in before spending thousands of pounds on a more expensive laser. I highly recommend researching the K40 before you purchase one, so you see exactly what you can expect.

For the money this is 5 stars!
So, I've upgraded from a diode laser setup after reading about CO2 lasers and their cutting power (a diode laser does not cut well). After lots of research I decided to go for CO2 but on the cheap so to speak before I spend thousands of pounds on a big 100W laser - the K40 is an absolute bargain at £291 (advertised at £296 but you get a £5 joining discount). I'm from the UK, I was initally worried it stated it was coming via Australia Post! This was not the case and around 5 days after ordering I got a huge parcel containing the K40 beast! First thing I did was removed the weird spring-loaded stamp-holder thing (just need an allen key, can be a bit fiddly but easily removed) and threw away the weird blue plastic vent pipe thing and replaced with a proper AC vent pipe. I built a temporary bed using coach-bolts and an MDF board and once I got the focus spot on, this cuts through 3mm MDF and PLY like a hot knife through butter! While this thing is not an off-the-shelf working machine, it will require some effort to get working to your own specifications, I am extremely impressed with the following: - - electrical safety: earthed and wired correctly - limit switched all present and working - hinged cover safetly interlock installed so it will turn off the laser with the lid open - the mirrors were all lined up correctly, it looks like Vevor sets up the machine before it is shipped! I've had great fun with this and it is totally value for money at this price! A few final thoughts... - this thing will burn you or blind you if you don't take care, do your research and get some decent safety goggles! -be prepared for many hours of tinkering, this is a good thing as you will learn to understand the machine - do lots of research on reddit, facebook etc. - there is lots of help out there!
