Bought this smelting furnace a couple of weeks ago, to smelt aluminum. First off, works fine, did 4 smelts of 2kg alu and everything works as expected. You get what you pay for, but functionally everything is there. I did not expect a great finish on this product. The crucible has a good inner and outer finish, the edges are a little rough but this did not hinder my casting The tongs work just fine, thought I had to get new ones but these just work. I’m not using the hose and regulator, I use the setup from my forge. But they look good and might have a bit more range than the one I’m using. The gloves and the graphite mould are a joke, but it’s the idea that counts.

Received in perfect status THE box was into correct condition no dents no cracks nothing broken inside all very safety with very thick foam protected.

Brilliant furnace, good quality stainless steel, decent length gas hose, everything you need to get started, I recommend buying refraction cement or liquid & pouring tongs

Over all this furnace is pretty good. The prongs damage the crusible when you try to remove from the furnace. Buy a better one and avoid using the ones that come with the kid. Copper takes around 20 mins to melt.

Clear instructions for set up but definitely do your research before firing it up. Gloves are functional but you probably want something better.

Bought this to delve into aluminum casting and it has been great. The instructions need work, but YouTube fixes that.
