Barely noticed: quiet operation.
Distilled water (1 gallon) continues to be unavailable at major grocery stores within our metro area. We purchased the Mophorn Pure Water Distiller to supply our CPAP machines. The unit operates efficiently and quietly.

Best distiller I’ve owned
Major improvements with this distiller! I like the on/off switch, seems well built, aluminum fan and quieter than my previous two. I actually tried to cancel this order because of several shipping delays and needed a replacement very quickly. Fortunately for me, it was too late to cancel the order I am so glad that happened. That’s how good I feel about this distiller. I ran it two times a day for just over a week and have found no problems. Maybe I was luck? I don’t know but I sure hope it last over the next three years or longer.

Great water distiller for the price!
This distiller does a great job for the price. To remove deposits from the prior use, I start each new use by putting just enough hot water in to cover the bottom and adding 1/2 teaspoon of the citric acid. I use a dish sponge on a stick to stir the solution over the bottom, until the crystals dissolve, and then swirl the sponge around the sides up to the top. After letting it sit for a few minutes, I use the sponge to easily dislodge any remaining deposits and rinse. The citric acid does work better than vinegar. To remove chlorine and other VOC's, after filling the distiller with tap water, I plug it in without the lid and, when steam becomes visible, I wait 15 minutes before putting the lid on. In 3 to 4 hours, depending on the temperature of the water I start with, I've got a gallon of pure distilled water. The distilled water tastes good but, to add good minerals and enhance the taste even more, I add a tablespoon of Keto Chow Daily Minerals to a gallon jug of the distilled water. This tastes much better than the water I was buying at the store, and I like knowing exactly what's in it.

Good So Far
We have been using this continuously since it arrived, as we are planting our seeds for spring. So far, it has worked perfectly. We also use it to make distilled water for soap making. It's the perfect size for a counter top. We set it to start every night, and wake up to distilled water. Our water is very hard, even with a whole house filter. Love this.

distillers are great, but this has 1 major design flaw
some folks drink distilled water, and some actually need to, but i think most folks use distilled water for humidifiers? if that's you, here's some info (i'll get to this specific distiller after some prefacing)...good humidity (45-55%) is important for musical instruments. my humidifier recommends distilled water. most seem to. and after years of going through humidifiers, have found distilled water does make them last much longer (usually they poop out after a few months). so if you need a humidifier, you'll need distilled water.humidifiers with larger tanks (about 2 gallons) is a big help. in the NE, the humidity is often about 20-30. to generate enough steam, smaller tanks mean you end up filling it more than once a day.the size space is important. i've never found a humidifier that can handle the whole apartment. so we have a "music room" with the door shut. and that makes a HUGE difference.(they do make humidifiers you can connect to the main water supply, but either you can have major plumbing and construction done or minor plumbing and a hose running through your home. for non-commercial use, this isn't really a useful option.)but amazon stopped carrying normally-priced distilled water jugs (~ $1). only the absurd price-gougers remain. that's where a distiller comes in. the amount of water it produces is ideal. make distilled water, fill up the humidifier, then re-fill the distiller (ideally about the same size, makes water faster than you use it up).this distiller does all that great. am thrilled that i'm no longer storing and hunting for those gallon bottles (smaller ones are annoying, i couldn't lift larger ones).HOWEVER, this unit was designed terribly. the top half is where it all happens. the bottom is the tank you refill constantly. you have to plug the top into the bottom and the the bottom into an AC outlet?? which means, you need to unplug it all each time (about every other day?) to bring it to a sink. (and then back without spilling?)also, the i
